Legal Eagles Storyline

District Attorney Tom Logan is set for higher office, at least until he becomes involved with defence lawyer Laura Kelly and her unpredictable client Chelsea Deardon. It seems the least of Chelsea's crimes is the theft of a very valuable painting, but as the women persuade Logan to investigate further and to cut some official corners, a much more sinister scenario starts to emerge.

Legal Eagles goofs

CONT: When Kelly and Logan enter Taft's warehouse, it's sunny with a few clouds. Moments later, when Taft closes the warehouse door, it's still broad daylight with bright sun. But a minute later when Kelly and Logan escape the warehouse, it's dusk and the buildings in the Manhattan skyline have their lights on.
FACT: The action of the movie appears to take place during a winter-like season (lots of rain and occasional snowflakes) yet a shot of the Empire State building has the lighting at the top in red, white and blue, coloring usually used around the Fourth of July or other non-Winter holidays.
CONT: When the press is interviewing Chelsea after the charges against her are dismissed, there's no breeze, and her hair is around her face. The next shot has a rather strong wind whipping her hair around, then in the next immediate shot, her hair is still again-as if there had been no breeze at all.

Legal Eagles trivia

The script for this movie started out as a documentary on the battle over the estate of artist Mark Rothko.
At one point, the two main lawyers were men and 'Dustin Hoffman' (qv) and 'Bill Murray (I)' (qv) were offered the film.
'Debra Winger' (qv) actually left the powerful CAA agency over this film. She felt that since all the major cast and crew members were with CAA at the time, they did not hire the best people, they hired only clients who could get the film made.
