Osmosis Jones Storyline

Frank Detomello catches a cold. The inside of his body is known as the "City of Frank" to its inhabitants, two of which - white blood cell cop Osmosis Jones, and cold tablet Drixorial - team up to fight the invading viruses intent on taking over the City.

The "protein packs" used by the mouth workers use the same sound effects as the proton packs from _Ghost Busters (1984)_ (qv).
Various famous Movie scenes are copied: - _The Godfather (1972)_ (qv) (Big Boss in armpit), _The Matrix (1999)_ (qv) (fight between Ozzy & Thrax), _Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991)_ (qv) (Ozzy's halfway mitosis & Thrax dissolves), _Titanic (1997)_ (qv) (the orchestra). Thrax also shows some similarities to 'Laurence Fishburne' (qv)'s appearance in The Matrix.
The signs in Franks body read "Slow - Sore Throat", "Ulcer Repair", "Danger - Open Nerve" and many more like it. In the stomach, Arrivals signs like "Booger" can be seen.
The name of the song that Thrax keep humming is called "Fever".
In the scene where Drix is waiting in line for the bladder you can see a germ holding a pikachu as Jones pushes through the line to get Drix to come help defeat Thrax.

Osmosis Jones goofs

CONT: When Frank's daughter decides not to go to Buffalo with him, we see the ticker above his door showing the scores of various sports games. The item "Seattle: 5 Oakland: 4" scrolls onto the screen in two consecutive shots.
CONT: The length of Frank's beard changes from scene to scene.
CONT: When Frank is talking to his daughter by the monkey cage, his lunch box is lying on its side. In the next shot, the bag is standing up.
FAKE: When Osmosis comes back from "The Zit" he greets Leah by saying "Brandy- oh I mean Leah". 'Brandy Norwood' (qv) was the voice of Leah. The error was left in because the director thought it was funny.
FAKE: On a diagram of Frank's body, the word collarbone is spelled as 'collerbone'.
