Beneath the Planet of the Apes Storyline

An astronaut, named Brent, is sent on a mission to find the missing astronaut crew from the first film, and he also lands on the planet of the apes where he stumbles upon an underground city where the last humans have hold up in hiding from the dreaded ape army now out to exterminate mankind.

Beneath the Planet of the Apes plot

Astronaut Brent is sent to rescue Taylor but crash lands on the Planet of the Apes, just like Taylor did in the original film. Taylor has disappeared into the Forbidden Zone so Brent and Nova try to follow and find him. He discovers a cult of humans that fear the Apes' latest military movements and finds himself in the middle. Tension mounts to a climactic battle between ape and man deep in the bowels of the planet. Beneath the Planet of the Apes goofs

GEOG: When Brent and Nova enter the underground cave to escape the pursuing gorillas, they happen upon the ruins of a tiled subway station bearing the name "Queensboro Plaza". Queensboro Plaza is a station on an elevated line of the New York City Transit Authority on the east end of the Queensboro (59th Street) Bridge and is not a subterranean station. In reality, the Queensboro Station would not be located in a tunnel, as depicted in the movie. Furthermore, elevated stations on the NYCTA do not have tiled walls.
FAIR: In the beginning of the film, Taylor is wearing only a loincloth (his uniform being mostly ripped to shreds by the primitive humans in the original movie). When Brent meets him in the prison cell near the end of the film, Taylor is wearing clothes the other humans gave him, not his original uniform.
FAKE: During Ursus' speech to the Ape Council, James Gregory is very animated. He is so animated, in fact, that near the end of the speech he turns and lifts his head, revealing his throat and Adam's apple.
FAKE: When Brent tries to get the reins from the runaway horses you can see an extra set of reins going into the paddy wagon through the holes in the wall. These are the reins that a hidden person is using to control the 'runaway' horses. After Brent stops the horses and gets off the wagon, the reins are no longer in the holes.
FAKE: When Brent and Nova are hiding in the back room of Cornelius and Zira's house, Franciscus is mouthing part of Cornelius's speech.
